3 axis machine
3 axis machine work is a major part of the operations here at Ryan Plastics. We use a 3 axis machine to create components and prototypes. Ryan Plastics is capable of producing 3 axis machine work to suit most requirements. Located in Northamptonshire, England, Ryan Plastics carries out 3 axis machine work to the UK, internationally, and locally within the East Midlands and East Anglia regions.
Cnc 3 axis machining - specs
3 axis Machining functions optimised for high performance. Single surface cutting including: Accurate gouge avoidance including edge protection: Step-over calculated by fixed step-over or scallop height: Complex tool containment: Flexible lead-in/lead-out moves with federate control: Cutter intersection toolpaths: Contouring of 3D curves: Open and closed contours, and chained series of contours: Original or offset contouring, including negative stock: Ability to cut specified sections of contours: Complex tool containment. The 3-axis machine has 3 independently actuated servo-motors that move the 3-axis machine, namely X, Y and Z. For the tool tip to move in a predetermined trajectory in 3-D space, the three motors have to be simultaneously controlled. The other objective of the 3 axis machineis to control the velocity of tip of the tool along the 3-D trajectory. A parser has been implemented to read in standard GM code.
3 axis machine - How is it done?
For machining flat parts such as sheet plastic and the like, a 3-axis machine is required. A 3-axis machine can produce three-dimensional parts such as carvings and patterns as long as the parts are only a few inches thick, can be machined from above and do not contain undercuts. 3-axis machines are available with two different tooling systems, aggregate and turret.
