PPS Polyphenylene Sulphide Resin (PPS) has a combination of properties that are retained in high temperatures and when exposed to chemicals. PPS also has high wear resistance allowing this material to bridge the gap between the more expensive materials like Peek and the standard thermoplastic bearing materials such as the Acetals.   PPS PROPERTIES Excellent in: Mechanical strength, stiffness, and hardness Wear resistance Hydrolysis and chemical resistance Low flammability Maximum allowable service temperature (up to 250°C) Very good in: Dimensional stability High radiation resistance Creep resistance Good in: Electrical insulation and dielectric properties   PPS APPLICATIONS The diverse properties of these high performance plastics make them suitable materials for a wide range of applications.
